Sketch of the First Floor of the Inner Dwelling

An illustrative sketch to describe the inner world in which we “live”.When we close eyes, we see communication room, and we face large wood door. Behind door is corridor with doors on both sides.

This corridor ends in a T intersection.

This is first floor of Dwelling. Nursery and Toddler Room are located close to communication room. Also a large conference room is there and a large gymnasium.

In addition to these are individual rooms, each set up uniquely by and for personality who’s room it belongs to.

If you go to the end of first corridor and turn Right, you see stairs ahead. Going up stairs goes to 2nd level.

At top of stairs is corridor leading back into Dwelling.

2nd floor of inner dwelling

Second floor of Dwelling is mostly individual rooms and small group rooms or shared rooms that serve as home base for individual alters or in some cases shared spaces of two or three personalities.

Also is entrance to Abode. Abode is structure intentionally created after diagnosis of MPD for purpose of having a place that is safe and pleasant for personalities who are not safe to have access to out. It functions like a locked unit in psychiatric hospital. Focussed effort was directed into making sure this would be comfortable and desirable place to be, and communication to outside was high priority in design. Deepest part of Abode is double locked for extra security.

Going back to communication room, if you look to left of wood door, you see wide spiral staircase going down.

This leads to Lower Level. We used to have map of Lower Level, but none have been recreated since Texas. There are 8 personalities who dwell in lower level, each with intensely severe issues. These prefer not to be focussed on so we will leave them and their space out of discussion other than to say they are there.
